Translated from the French: We have spent 4 nights in this marvellous cottage where quality and cost are unbeatable. The cottage is charming and very tasteful, very well equipped, it lacks for nothing, it is extremely well decorated, warm and cosy. The bedrooms are large enough. Firewood is available for the guests so we had a nice fire, it was pleasant. It’s a 10-minute walk to the village which is beautiful, it is one of the villages that we most appreciated in the Cotswolds. … An address to use without hesitation.
A very enjoyable stay in Lilac Cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and well-equipped. Loved the fire in the evenings. Although it was bitterly cold, the sun shone every day so we had some very pleasant outings.
Have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous cottage. Extras, such as tour books and maps, much appreciated.
Many thanks for the welcome gifts which were very much appreciated! The cottage is delightful in every way and is ideally placed, not only for exploring Stow itself, but lots of other similarly lovely and interesting towns and villages, plus of course the beautiful Cotswold countryside. We hope to return soon! Digbeth’s on Digbeth Street, Stow is well worth a visit; the food is lovely and beautifully presented. A very relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you for a lovely stay in your cottage. Lovely area, lots to see, wonderful cottage to come back to. We hope to return to Lilac Cottage for many more relaxing breaks. Thank you.
First time in Stow-on-the-Wold for most of us. Absolutely beautiful! Wonderful cottage – would definitely come back. Lovely cosy/country cottage. Awoke on the first morning to a blanket of snow in the garden and Stow on Sky News (due to severity of snow). What a fantastic cottage to be stranded in. (Smiley face). Thank you for a lovely stay at your amazing cottage in the idyllic Cotswolds. We did not realise that we could order sunshine as well!! We will be back soon, to sample the delights of Lilac Cottage. Look forward to wine and cheese in front of a burning fire. Our very best wishes for the future. Francesca & Rob.
The cottage is so lovely, so cosy and warm. We loved the blue and white in the master bedroom, so soothing. The view out of the window into the garden and the vista beyond is wonderful. The sitting room is so comfortable and we enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres there each evening before venturing out for dinner. We hope to return one day.
Once again, a very enjoyable, relaxing time, staying at Lilac Cottage. The men enjoyed pints of Donnington Ale at the Queen’s Head, also two lovely meals – one at the Vine Leaf (Stow) the other at the Fox (Lower Oddington). Looking forward to coming back again. (P.S. We have been coming here for 10 years).
Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay; we came to escape it all and that’s what we got! Lilac Cottage is a comfortable and cosy place to stay. We’ll be back! Many thanks for cake and wine.
