What a great time in this wonderful cottage. We have seen a lot of beautiful places and enjoyed our stay. The cottage is so lovely and well equipped. We rested so well in those comfortable beds and enjoyed playing dominoes while listening to blues music on the Gigajuke. We would love to come back soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and would recommend it highly.
A very enjoyable stay in Lilac Cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and well-equipped. Loved the fire in the evenings. Although it was bitterly cold, the sun shone every day so we had some very pleasant outings.
Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay; we came to escape it all and that’s what we got! Lilac Cottage is a comfortable and cosy place to stay. We’ll be back! Many thanks for cake and wine.
Lovely cottage in great location. Enjoyed exploring Cotswolds again. Weather bit wet and cool but gave us an excuse to light the fire in the evening. Cottage very well stocked with all the essentials and wine provided went down well on first evening! Thank you – made a relaxing break.
We loved the opportunity to revisit Lilac Cottage, this time with our two daughters and son-in-law. The 5 of us managed very well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cosy cottage and garden. Ideally located for cycling, walking, trips around the countryside to other Cotswold villages and returning always to Stow as home base. Thank you Dianne for all your efforts to ensure that our stay was a success.
Many thanks for the welcome gifts which were very much appreciated! The cottage is delightful in every way and is ideally placed, not only for exploring Stow itself, but lots of other similarly lovely and interesting towns and villages, plus of course the beautiful Cotswold countryside. We hope to return soon! Digbeth’s on Digbeth Street, Stow is well worth a visit; the food is lovely and beautifully presented. A very relaxed atmosphere.
The cottage is so lovely, so cosy and warm. We loved the blue and white in the master bedroom, so soothing. The view out of the window into the garden and the vista beyond is wonderful. The sitting room is so comfortable and we enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres there each evening before venturing out for dinner. We hope to return one day.
Once again, a very enjoyable, relaxing time, staying at Lilac Cottage. The men enjoyed pints of Donnington Ale at the Queen’s Head, also two lovely meals – one at the Vine Leaf (Stow) the other at the Fox (Lower Oddington). Looking forward to coming back again. (P.S. We have been coming here for 10 years).
My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay in Lilac Cottage. Is is so lovely and cosy. We had quite cold weather and it was lovely to return to the warm cottage after our days out. Is is so well equipped with everything that is needed and the dishwasher was appreciated and used. Every morning we walked into the town to buy a newspaper and to sample the coffee shops and tea rooms – we have all the “coffee chains” here* so it was very nice to sample the independent tea rooms. We visited the four National Trust properties that we wanted to see … we were particularly impressed with Upton House. We hope that we will be able to return to Lilac Cottage in the future. Your daffodils are out in the back garden and the hanging baskets at the front are in flower. With kind regards, Marjorie *Berkshire
