Lilac Cottage is a recently restored and extended Cotswold stone cottage dating from the 1830’s which provides every comfort and convenience whilst maintaining many original features such as beamed ceilings and window seats.
It has double-glazing, central heating and a large open log fire in a stone fireplace wall with lighted alcoves to each side. The large living room has comfortable sofas and chairs near the fireplace and an antique dresser and dining table to the far side of the room. There are stone floors downstairs with a Persian rug in the lounge. The painted buttermilk kitchen has solid wooden worktops and fitted fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, fan oven with ceramic hob and microwave. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
Upstairs – master bedroom with king-size bed and twin bedroom, both with window-seat casement windows and pretty colour schemes, and a bathroom with pressure shower over the bath.
The cottage overlooks a large, south-facing patio with BBQ and patio furniture opening onto a landscaped garden.
There is parking by the entrance, which is in a quiet cul-de-sac and since the cottage stands back from the road, it is quiet and peaceful yet within only a stone’s-throw of the shops, eateries and pubs of Stow.
