My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay in Lilac Cottage. Is is so lovely and cosy. We had quite cold weather and it was lovely to return to the warm cottage after our days out. Is is so well equipped with everything that is needed and the dishwasher was appreciated and used. Every morning we walked into the town to buy a newspaper and to sample the coffee shops and tea rooms – we have all the “coffee chains” here* so it was very nice to sample the independent tea rooms. We visited the four National Trust properties that we wanted to see … we were particularly impressed with Upton House. We hope that we will be able to return to Lilac Cottage in the future. The cottage is delightful in every way and is ideally placed, not only for exploring Stow itself, but lots of other similarly lovely and interesting towns and villages, plus of course the beautiful Cotswold countryside. We hope to return soon! Digbeth’s on Digbeth Street, Stow is well worth a visit; the food is lovely and beautifully presented. A very relaxed atmosphere.
