Stow on the Wold is only an hour from home but we definitely felt on holiday here.  The cottage is superbly equipped and very conveniently located for exploring.  We only had 4 days here but packed a lot in whilst still having time to relax.  The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the UK. – The Slaughters are very picturesque (take away ice cream from “The Old Mill” in Lower Slaughter, very nice). – The Miniature Village at Bourton is cheap and fun for children. – We had a very nice lunch at “The Plough” in Ford.  Pretty good fish & chips from Stow too (Greedy’s, Park Street). – Cotswold Baguettes in Stow is good for an easy lunch and both “New England Coffee House” and “The Coffee House” served great barista-quality coffee.

We were reflecting on the year 2015 last evening and thought about our wonderful stay at Lilac Cottage We forgot to enter our comments into your guest book, but wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the week we spent there in early September. It was our third stay at Lilac Cottage in the last five years, and we hope to be able to return again in the future. We also appreciated your generous offer of allowing RK Services to drop off our car rental a day in advance because of a Bank Holiday conflict. That was truly going above and beyond what would be expected. Lilac Cottage is the ideal setting. Just the right mix of historic charm, modern convenience, lovely garden, and easy access to Stow-on-the-Wold restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and would recommend it highly.

A very enjoyable week spent in a very cost cottage in a beautiful area.  Would recommend Huffkins or Lucy’s Tearoom for afternoon tea!  Had as wonderful time here at Lilac Cottage, thank you for everything.

We’ve been to Stow many times and stayed in several cottages but Lilac Cottage is definitely the best. Beautifully designed and decorated with several thoughtful details – the welcome tray was much appreciated as were all the other little touches. Stow and the Cotswolds as lovely as ever. We’re very much looking forward to our next stay.

I would like to convey the good wishes from the four of us who stayed at Lilac Cottage, we had a lovely time; we appreciated the welcoming gifts that were left for us.  The cottage itself was very clean … and we would recommend it to anyone … Once again, thank you for everything.

First time in Stow-on-the-Wold for most of us.  Absolutely beautiful! Wonderful cottage – would definitely come back.  Lovely cosy/country cottage.  Awoke on the first morning to a blanket of snow in the garden and Stow on Sky News (due to severity of snow).  What a fantastic cottage to be stranded in.
