A lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful, clean well equipped cottage; we enjoyed the pretty garden … we recommend Treebus in Digbeth Street for breakfast and The Vine Leaf for evening meals. A perfect location and accommodation to enjoy the Cotswolds
Our 4th time in Stow and at Lilac Cottage – just as lovely. The Queen’s Head was just as welcoming as ever and the food was fantastic. Also loved Digbeth’s; the food was gorgeous and they made such an effort with the service and to make it Christmassy.
Everything was perfect – we love the cottage, it is so cosy and warm and has everything we need. We will definitely be returning.
I would like to convey the good wishes from the four of us who stayed at Lilac Cottage, we had a lovely time; we appreciated the welcoming gifts that were left for us. The cottage itself was very clean … and we would recommend it to anyone … Once again, thank you for everything.
First time in Stow-on-the-Wold for most of us. Absolutely beautiful! Wonderful cottage – would definitely come back. Lovely cosy/country cottage. Awoke on the first morning to a blanket of snow in the garden and Stow on Sky News (due to severity of snow). What a fantastic cottage to be stranded in. (Smiley face). Thank you Dianne, we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here at Lilac Cottage. The Cotswolds is such a beautiful place. Have had a wonderful holiday.
This is a comfortable and well equipped cottage. On rainy, cold days the lighted fireplace warmed the atmosphere of the room. Enjoyed harvesting fresh herbs from the patio to use in cooking. From the cottage you can easily walk to the square buy a newspaper, shop, attend church or dine at one of the many restaurants.
Thanks for the warm welcome! The cottage is great, cosy and with everything one needs. We loved Stow … an area to come back to and Lilac Cottage the place to stay!
We’ve stayed at Lilac Cottage several times over the years and it gets better every time, thank you. Particularly enjoyed the falconry display at Batsford Arboretum, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Gaydon Motor Museum and Toddington steam railway. The Indian restaurant on Digbeth Street was very good. Have loved our week here and will certainly come again. Even got to see shooting stars from the garden one night!
The cottage is so lovely, so cosy and warm. We loved the blue and white in the master bedroom, so soothing. The view out of the window into the garden and the vista beyond is wonderful. The sitting room is so comfortable and we enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres there each evening before venturing out for dinner. We hope to return one day.
