Thank you Dianne, we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here at Lilac Cottage. The Cotswolds is such a beautiful place. Have had a wonderful holiday.
A very enjoyable stay in Lilac Cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and well-equipped. Loved the fire in the evenings. Although it was bitterly cold, the sun shone every day so we had some very pleasant outings.
Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay; we came to escape it all and that’s what we got! Lilac Cottage is a comfortable and cosy place to stay. We’ll be back! Many thanks for cake and wine.
Lovely cottage in great location. Enjoyed exploring Cotswolds again. Weather bit wet and cool but gave us an excuse to light the fire in the evening. Cottage very well stocked with all the essentials and wine provided went down well on first evening! Thank you – made a relaxing break.
This has been one of our most memorable holidays thanks to the lovely cottage that you have. The great weather added to this and made it such a great stay. We will be back again!!
Everything was perfect – we love the cottage, it is so cosy and warm and has everything we need. We will definitely be returning.
(Christmas week) This was our 2nd visit to Lilac and a great visit as always. Loved being in the Cotswolds over Christmas. We went back to the Fox Inn and Horse & Groom in Oddington which did fantastic lunches so are well worth a visit. Also, the walk by the stream and feeding the horses at Lower Slaughter, followed by a drink by the fire at the pub/hotel there. We will be back!
Stow on the Wold is only an hour from home but we definitely felt on holiday here. The cottage is superbly equipped and very conveniently located for exploring. We only had 4 days here but packed a lot in whilst still having time to relax. The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the UK. – The Slaughters are very picturesque (take away ice cream from “The Old Mill” in Lower Slaughter, very nice). – The Miniature Village at Bourton is cheap and fun for children. – We had a very nice lunch at “The Plough” in Ford. Pretty good fish & chips from Stow too (Greedy’s, Park Street). – Cotswold Baguettes in Stow is good for an easy lunch and both “New England Coffee House” and “The Coffee House” served great barista-quality coffee.
We loved the opportunity to revisit Lilac Cottage, this time with our two daughters and son-in-law. The 5 of us managed very well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cosy cottage and garden. Ideally located for cycling, walking, trips around the countryside to other Cotswold villages and returning always to Stow as home base. Thank you Dianne for all your efforts to ensure that our stay was a success.
This is a comfortable and well equipped cottage. On rainy, cold days the lighted fireplace warmed the atmosphere of the room. Enjoyed harvesting fresh herbs from the patio to use in cooking. From the cottage you can easily walk to the square buy a newspaper, shop, attend church or dine at one of the many restaurants.
